Installations
Convenient
In the installation "Convenient," travel, road trips, and the stops along the way are featured. The projection combines real video with green screen and animation techniques. In the windows of the motel, Jason (from Friday the 13th) catches the woman, a lone woman plays with the vibrating bed, and a couple have sex. In the window of "Gas and Food," clips from movies known for their mini marts, such as "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" and "Reality Bites" are interwoven. The "Twin Drive-In" plays a dvd "A Long Trip."
SF Camerawork, San Francisco, CA, August-September 2005.

The City at Night
The installation "The City at Night" takes the sculptural installation of "The City" and further explores ideas of the city in a more comprehensive installation. The image in the back is a rear projection of a video made of approximately 800 still images, to form a stop-motion animation, changing from black and white to color and back, with ambient sounds of the city and audio clips from the film "Night and the City."

The City
The sculptural installation "The City" explores the dichotomy of solitude in a crowded city. Lcd screens in some of the windows play scenes of lone people, sitting on a bed, swiveling in a chair, or talking on a phone. A soundtrack accompanies the installation.
Chicago Contemporary & Classic, with Brown Bag Contemporary, Chicago, IL, March 2005.

Artist Collaboration
Four day artist collaboration with Tracey Snelling and painter Salvador Diaz. Two works were made, and raffled at the end of the event. The purpose of the collaboration was to make art accessible on many different levels.

Tenement
The sculptural installation Tenement encapsulates life in general: the “good” and the “not so good” aspects that coexist. While some windows are dark or covered with curtains to maintain privacy, others allow one to look in. The tenants, heard or seen through the windows in video and still images, participate in various activities, such as eating, watching television, arguing, making love, and sleeping. Tenement allows the viewer to become a voyeur of daily life and its intimacies.
Tenement has several components: sculpture, video, and photographs. Within some of the windows, screens play dvd of found footage: Jack Nicholson yelling about a shoehorn, a woman continuously hanging up her sweater, others unpacking groceries, and a couple kissing, among other things. Clotheslines with hanging swatches of underwear and pantyhose run from the sculpture to photographs of the sculpture.

Another Shocking Psychological Thriller
"Another Shocking Psychological Thriller" is an installation of sculptures and video works that depict a story of murder, desire, and mystery. This embattled tale of crime and deception takes place on 3 screens. Do they represent the past, present, and future, or do they reflect the reality of a fractured schizophrenic mind? The three part video piece explores the idea of suspense through using found footage from film noir and other genres, along with original footage. The story moves from the house, to the landscape, to a drive-in screen, continually complementing and augmenting the narrative.
